Dr. Jeffrey Berard
Owner and Chiropractor
Dr. Berard is owner and clinical director of Midland Sports Rehab. He is a licensed Doctor of Chiropractic who graduated from Northwestern Health Sciences University in 2000 and has been in private practice since. He attended undergraduate school at the University of South Florida and holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Biology.
Dr. Berard has a unique skill set that has been developed over the last 16 years working with athletes from all over the globe as well as developing a niche utilizing a specific technique developed for the average person suffering with chronic lower back and neck pain.
Jeff and his wife Kristin, are big supporters of local health, sports, and recreation programs. They love getting involved and have a very active role in the Midland Community with their young daughter, Annabelle.
Owner and Fitness Nutrition Specialist
Kristin co-owns Midland Sports Rehab with her husband Dr. Berard. Kristin is a Certified Fitness Nutrition Specialist, Personal Trainer and Group Fitness instructor and holds a bachelors’ of Criminal Justice and Public Administration from Saginaw Valley State University. She also owns and operates Kristin Berard, LLC also known as ABBRx where she coaches individuals to obtain Fat Loss, Metabolic Recovery, Muscle building and Pre-Post Natal goals and also personal trains’ clients within their home gym and the Midland Sports Rehab Clinic. Kristin is a retired Pro Physique and Figure Competitor and coaches clients around the United States in Natural Bodybuilding, Bikini, Figure and Physique competitions.
Kristin and her husband Jeff have a daughter Annabelle and enjoy spending time outside of the office visiting family and traveling around the World.
Dr. Eric Fridline
Dr. Eric Fridline graduated from University of Michigan-Flint with his Bachelors in Health Science and went on to pursue his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from UM-Flint in 2017. He is Titleist Performance Institute certified and has a passion working with golfers. Eric enjoys working with a variety of patient populations and brings over 9 year’s experience in outpatient orthopedics to the table. He is excited to join a team of the best health professionals in the area to learn and grow as a physical therapist at Midland Sports Rehab.
Acupuncturist and Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner
Haiyan Wu was inspired to help people from her mother. Her mother is a well-known Chinese medical doctor. She has a Master’s Degree in Oriental Medicine from Dongguk University in Los Angeles and a Bachelors Degree in Medical Science at Heilongjiang University of Chinese Medicine. She has been practicing Traditional Chinese Medicine since 2004. Haiyan believes that acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine are an approach which can help people to experience natural healing powers. She joined Midland Sports Rehab in October of 2016. She likes to work in this dynamic and patient centered environment. In her free time, she likes reading, cooking and spending time with her husband and daughter.
Mary is a Licensed Athletic Trainer with 8 years of clinical experience in the orthopedic and secondary school settings. Mary received her Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training/Sports Medicine from Central Michigan University in 2009 where she worked with collegiate football, track and cross country, women’s basketball and men’s baseball. She enjoys working with young athletes, especially the overhead athlete. Mary specializes in injury prevention in organized sport and has been working with our physical therapist in the rehabilitation setting for one year. She is a mother to three young children and enjoys hiking and cross-country skiing with her husband.
Certified Personal Trainer
Jake is a certified personal trainer and Certified Functional Strength Coach (CFSC) Level 1 and 2. After competing in collegiate wrestling for Central Michigan University, he found true passion for strength training and conditioning. After hanging up his shoes, he found a drive for Natural Bodybuilding and Powerlifting. Jake now competes as a Natural Professional Bodybuilder and Amateur Powerlifter. After coming on board with Dr. Berard in 2013, Jake has developed a great understanding of how the human body is meant to move and function. He believes in never strengthening on top of dysfunction and performing corrective exercises before diving into an extreme strength training program is crucial for long term.
Jake has spent nearly a half decade training clients of all ability levels from pro level athletes, post physical therapy clients, to the general population and has learned quite a lot about the different needs of everyone. He feels that nutrition and strength and conditioning go hand in hand and plans to continue his growth and development in sports science, nutrition, and corrective exercises. He truly enjoys what he does and his passion surely shows!
In Jake’s downtime he enjoys traveling, hiking, hunting and fishing, and spending time with his friends and family.
Certified Personal Trainer
Mike is a NASM Certified personal trainer, and Level 1 certified functional strength coach. Fitness is his passion and he says weight training saved his life. He became a trainer to help other people find the freedom that fit living has brought him. Outside of work Mike trains himself to compete in strongman competitions, and is a father of three children. Mike says he enjoys training clients at Midland Sports Rehab because he gets to train every type of person and enjoys the challenges that each person brings to each day.
Certified Personal Trainer and Chiropractic Assistant
Brooke grew up in Auburn and found a love of sports and developing physical strength and abilities from an early age. After high school, she enlisted in the Army and loved the focus it placed on physical training. When she returned, Brooke pursued an education in Nutrition and Exercise Science and joined our team as a personal Trainer. She has a passion for healthy living and loves cooking, hiking, and rock-climbing, travel and new adventures. Brooke loves the holistic approach Midland Sports Rehab takes to addressing patient health and wellbeing as well as the community environment created by a staff that genuinely cares about each person that comes in the door.
Licensed Massage Therapist
Sam has been working with Midland Sports Rehab for little over three years. She enjoys working here because of the diverse clientele she treats on a daily basis as well as the patients that visit the office on a consistent and reoccurring basis. Seeing patients improve from one appointment to the next is why she does her job, helping people to function better in their day to day lives is the reason she chose massage therapy for her career. She grew up in Bay City, shortly after graduating from high school she moved to Colorado. After working and attending school for a little over a year, she returned to the tri-city area to pursue a career in massage therapy. She graduated as a certified medical massage therapist from the Flint Institute of Massage Therapy in December 2009. She became licensed through the state of Michigan in 2014 and continues to expand her knowledge and education in the massage therapy field.
Licensed Massage Therapist
Elizabeth grew up in Hemlock. After graduating high school, she attended college for a year and then found a passion for massage therapy while attending the Flint Institute of Massage Therapy. Elizabeth graduated as a Certified Massage Therapist in December of 2003. She always knew she wanted to be helping people and has been able to do so threw massage therapy. In 2016 she started working for Midland Sports Rehab where she has been able to apply her love for massage not only on athletes but anyone dealing with muscular issues.
Licensed Massage Therapist
Janelle went to Heritage High School in Saginaw. She later attended Flint School of Therapeutic Massage in 2003. She believes that she was given talent to share with others and enjoys working at Midland Sports rehab because everything the facility offers is beneficial to all kinds of people with different physical problem’s. She enjoys spending as much time as possible with her family, especially her daughter Bella. Janelle likes going up north, swimming and the outdoors.
Marla is the biller here at Midland Sports Rehab. She grew up in Oklahoma and moved to Michigan 12 years ago. She enjoys all types of sports and outdoor activities, especially camping and snowmobiling. All members of the Midland Sports Rehab team truly care for all the patients as well as each other and that makes the office such a great place to work.
Front Desk Manager
Sami was born and raised in Saginaw. She attended Northwood University where she obtained her Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration. Sami finds working in the healthcare field rewarding by being able to help others in the community. Her favorite part of working at Midland Sports Rehab is the interaction with all of the patients and getting to know them individually. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
Front Desk Manager
Adrianna was born and raised in Bay City Michigan. She graduated from Central High School in 2007 and continued on to Delta College. She attended the college for three years and graduated in 2010 with her Associates Degree in Science and also a Macro Degree. It was always her dream to have a career in the health field where she could help others improve their health and wellness. Once she finished her first three years at Delta, she enrolled into their Dental Hygiene program in the fall of 2011 and graduated with her Dental Hygiene Degree in the spring of 2013. With her free time, she likes to go horseback riding, spend time with her family and do arts/crafts. Midland Sports Rehab is a big family oriented facility for both staff and patients which makes this such a great place to work.
